It’s impossible to curb my excitement about the arrival of Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas! Anthem is an amazing ship! I can’t wait to show you some of the incredible experiences waiting for you on board!
NORTH STAR
Anthem is taking “incredible views” to a whole new level! Sure, if you’re a cruiser already, you know how it feels to stand on an outside deck or your balcony and look out over the brilliant blue waters or gaze at the palm trees, white sands and architecture of one of your ports. On Anthem, you can have that same experience 300 feet above sea level! Step on board North Star and gaze through the floor-to-ceiling windows for a 360° view as you are lifted up and over the ship in a jewel-shaped capsule. Don’t take my word for how awesome it is, take a look for yourself (Note: Quantum is Anthem’s sister ship but North Star is the same on both ships):
RIPCORD BY IFLY
Thrill seekers will definitely not be disappointed by Anthem. RipCord by IFLY is a sky diving simulator that offers the thrills of flying through the air without jumping from an airplane (a total plus for me)! Guests put on their flight gear–helmets, jumpsuit and goggles–and step inside the 23-foot tall glass flight chamber and take off! It offers a viewing platform for family and friends to cheer you on and take pictures. Oh, and if the flying experience isn’t enough, you can fly AND have awesome ocean views at the same time! Located near the rock climbing wall and Flow-Rider, Royal has built a whole “adrenaline rush” section on this ship!
SEAPLEX
SeaPlex is by far the feature that I am most excited about. Being a kid at heart, I cannot wait to see this part of the ship! Royal has maximized the space here by creating an indoor basketball court that transforms into a roller rink, a circus training area, and yes, even a spot for bumper cars! This is a two story space, so the main floor is surrounded by ping pong tables, arcade games and even an xBox lounge! At the risk of sounding like an infomercial…BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! SeaPlex also transforms into a place for a rockin’ dance party complete with a floating (did she say floating?) DJ!!! A picture isn’t going to cut it here folks, check out this video:
TWO70
Anthem is definitely not lacking in major technological advances, that’s for sure. Take Two70 for example. This massive room is a quiet place with spectacular 270° views (hence the name) out windows two-and-a-half decks high. At night though–look out! Two70 transforms and transports you into a whole different world. With the incredible technology of 18 different, 12K resolution projectors, the windows become massive screens. You can be in a rain forest one minute and under the sea among schools of colorful fish the next. Top that with RoboShow, complete with six 7-ft. robotic moving screens, and Starwater, which combines the robotic screens, aerial entertainment from human performance artists and amazing music and you’ve got an experience like no other! Wait…that isn’t enough? Well ok, throw in an ice bar for good measure!
VITALITY SPA
I’m tired just writing about these things, so let’s take it down a notch and relax in the Vitality Spa. When relaxation is in order–and hey, isn’t that what vacations are all about–a spa visit is the place to go. Vitality Spa offers facials, massages, body wraps and scrubs, nail and hair treatments, Botox and teeth whitening and even acupuncture. It also offers a spa for men and teens. Don’t forget the fitness center, the wellness programs and other holistic therapies while you’re in there!
As you can imagine, these are just SOME of the highlights from this new and amazing ship. Anthem, has so much to offer–you’ll never lack for things to do. Stay tuned for more exciting information!
